It’s the last day of the exhibition at Leeds college of Art & Design today. Yesterday, we had an impromptu workshop in the studio with some new creatures being made.

Here’s Kelly Pollard’s toy. I like how she’s stitched her initials on the creature.
Helen Williams created an outfit for Lil’s ‘Floppy Drunks Friend’ toy.

I love recycled art so much,
I remember making dolls out of vintage fabric when I was about 8.
I definitely feel that recycled art has come into it's own in the last few years.I check out different websites every day for recycled art and I have come to the conclusion that the US definitely has more recycled art organisations and shows than the UK does(proportionally speaking of course).We do have a lot of recycled art but it seems to be in a different way.Of course we have individual artists that produce recycled art but a lot of shows that are out there featuring recycled art seem to have come out of college courses.Perhaps this is just an indication of how difficult it is to get work shown.Hence the need for more recycled art organisations to encourage this brilliant form of art.
